Index Intern Program

Founded in 2024, Hunter Index is a not-for-profit news organization covering the personal finances of politicians. We conduct data research using government forms called personal financial disclosure reports for members of and candidates for Congress; executive branch officials like president, vice president and cabinet members; members of the judiciary including Supreme Court justices and other federal judges; among other government officials or politicians.

Our editor and founder Jay Hunter first started covering the personal wealth of politicians in 2012 when he along with board member Christina Bellantoni launched the Wealth of Congress project at Roll Call newspaper in Washington, D.C..

Our paid internship program will start with our inaugural cohort in September 2025.
